• Responsible for supporting our retail leadership, to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Coaching and supporting the development of leaders and teams to deliver excellent store standards to maximise sales and profitability.
• Working alongside the Store Manager to improve the commercial performance across all areas of the Highways Business (Retail, Gardening and Hospitality)
• Leading recruitment initiatives and ensuring new employees are equipped with the knowledge and training to be successful.
• Duty Management across all aspects of the Highways business.
• Handling customer feedback and taking ownership to resolve any issues or complaints, promptly and professionally.
• To achieve targets through effective performance management of your team.
• Managing rotas, including scheduling, staffing levels, and holidays.

Experience as a Manager/Assistant Manager in a large multi-departmental retail environment is essential for this position. As is having a proven track record of developing excellence in people, procedures, and customer service to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.

The ideal candidate will also have experience within the hospitality or gardening industry as you will have management responsibility for our retail provision, but also Duty Management across all aspects of the Highways business.
