Mauldons Brewery

Since 1795, the Mauldon family has been involved in brewing, with Anna Maria Mauldon starting at the Bull Hotel in Sudbury. After prospering with around 30 tied pubs, a wine and spirit business, and a farm, the brewery moved in the 1800s. In 1981, Peter Mauldon revived the family tradition, and in 2000, Steve and Alison Sims took over. In 2019, Charlie Buckle acquired the brewery, preserving its family-oriented ethos. The recent 2023 expansion includes a purpose-built cold store, named 'The Birch Building,' after Steve Birch, who has been with Mauldons since 1980.
